The DC Living Building Challenge Collaborative (DC LBCC) is a group of local professional volunteers committed to sustainability, education and implementation of the Living Building Challenge.  The DC LBCC provides a unique in person forum to facilitate change in the built environment.  It is the most progressive sustainability standard in the world.  While there are a handful of Living Buildings in the world, the number of teams trying to achieve Living Building Challenge status increase every year.  The ILFI website is an excellent resource for LBC Case Studies.

The DC LBCC is currently led by the Collaborative’s founder and facilitator Susan Block Moores, AIA, LEED AP BD&C.  To read more about the history and progress of the DC LBCC in ILFI’s Trim Tab magazine article from fall 2013, “DC Heats Up With the Challenge.
